TidyBins.com Disposal Bin Rental Faq’s
Thank you for choosing TidyBins.com for your Disposal & Recycling needs. We have created the following Bin Rental Facts to help our customers maximize the use of the bin and eliminate unnecessary surcharges or additional fees. We hope these facts will answer any questions you may have during the rental period, however if you have a concern or question that is not covered by these facts please contact us or call TidyBins at 604-329-3796 and a staff member will be happy to answer any other questions.
- TidyBins pre-authorizes the customer’s credit card for $1000 prior to delivery. While in most cases the after tax cost of a Tidybins will not reach that amount, our pre-auth is to ensure funds are available for payment of a 3500kg bin. This amount covers 87% of all bins on average. We do not accept cash as payment.
- TidyBins is not responsible for damage from a bin left on driveways, gardens or lawns. If you are concerned that the bin will damage your property, have the bin placed where damage is not a concern. Whenever possible wood dunnage is placed under the bin by our drivers to protect driveways.
- Consider ordering the bin for the day before you need it. TidyBins will try to accommodate delivery requests, but we operate on a first come first serve basis and route efficiency. TidyBins is not responsible for any costs because of missing our delivery window.
- Our delivery drivers will make every attempt to place the bin where it is convenient for the customer. However, safety, public vehicle access, and space requirements will ultimately determine bin placement.
- Customers are responsible for obtaining street use permits. Some municipalities require a permit to leave a bin on the street, check with your local municipality for rules and regulations. Any bylaw fines will be charged back to the customer.
- The $499 rental fee includes delivery, removal, and 7 day rental of one (1) bin. Each additional bin during the first 7 days is another $499. Dump fees in excess of 1500kgs. are extra. The $499 rental applies to any size of bin, except those used for dirt, concrete, rock and fill.
- TidyBins does not automatically dispatch to pick up the bin at the end of the rental period. The customer must phone to have the bin picked up. Extra rental charges apply in excess of 7 days. Rental charges are $15 per day and a maximum of $75 per additional week.
- All drywall bins must be tested free of asbestos, documentation must be emailed to TidyBins prior to delivery of the bin. Mixed loads of garbage and drywall are subject to a $100 sorting fee, $250 testing fee, and disposal fees at $1000 per tonne. Please phone the office if you are disposing of drywall.
- TidyBins will make every effort to accommodate customer requests to have the bin picked up. Tidybins does not schedule bin pick-ups. Generally, bins are removed the same or next day but can take up to 3 days depending on the customer’s location. Do not phone for pick-up until the bin is ready and finished. If TidyBins attends to pick-up and the bin is not ready the customer will be charged $200 to return. Missed pick-ups because of vehicles or equipment blocking the bin are subject to a $200 return fee as well.
- Bins must be level loaded, nothing sticking out above the top, we must be able to secure the load and tarp it. We highly recommend ordering a bin one size bigger than you think you need, if space permits. If you have any questions on best practices for loading the bin, call our office for help.
- Do not put restricted or banned materials in the bin, anything that is flammable, poisonous, or hazardous should not be put in the bin. A full list of banned items is available on our web site at www.tidybins.com. A 100% dump fee surcharge will be applied to bins containing banned items.
- Our bins are not water tight. If it rains your garbage will get wet. It will probably add a little to the weight but unless you fill the bins with sponges it probably won’t cost you much more than a few dollars extra. When we pick the bin up most of the water should drain out the back end. We have taken our wet weather into account and we still believe we offer a better value than most disposal companies.
- Once we have picked up and dumped your bin, determined the weight and dump fee, we will process the cost on your credit card. Once payment is processed a detailed receipt will follow by email within a couple of days.
Thank you again for choosing TidyBins
